Pleased to share our work on mm-scale cardiac pacemakers as an invited talk today in a session titled ‘Through the Looking Glass,’ at the 14th Practical Update in the Practice of Cardiovascular Medicine – Napa Cardiology 2026. Sadly, I was unable to join in person at this wonderful location, so I had to deliver my presentation remotely, titled ‘The World’s Smallest Pacemaker,��� covering our work published in Nature last year and some unpublished advances.  The movie below summarizes optical and electrical simulations of light passing from the skin of the chest to a device mounted on the myocardium and corresponding stimulation of the cardiac tissue, respectively. Other speakers in the session: Dr. Lambert T. Appiah, MD on AI-powered digital stethoscopes, Dr. @jwbkim on autonomous surgery (absent) and Dr. @David_Ouyang on AI-powered echo interpretation. Thanks to Dr. Mani A.
