@vlamers I think this is indicative of people not thinking of "US" as a whole unit, but their own "America" based on the much smaller sphere of influence that is their lived experience AND whatever sources of information/misinformation they are privy to. The US is too big to comprehend

@vlamers Our two take turns. One year someone in the household was sick from September to March without a break. It was one of the things I had hoped we had learned how to prevent from COVID times.

@ChuckWurster @vlamers Agreed that kids don't mind wearing them for the most part, BUT they definitely DO mind being the ONLY ones wearing them. Very tough sell at that point and the bigger systemic failure. Putting this on the parents also is a rough go.

@EpiEllie @kareem_carr I don't think the problem here is a lack of statistical literacy, though I agree that there is one. I think it's purely that when people want to believe something anything that looks like evidence becomes truth. They don't WANT to learn otherwise.
