Wie lange geht der aktuelle Bitcoin-Zyklus voraussichtlich noch? Und wann können wir nach der aktuellen Korrektur mit der nächsten Aufwärtsbewegung in #Bitcoin rechnen?

Für die Beantwortung dieser Fragen schauen wir uns heute im Detail den Zusammenhang bzw. die Korrelation zwischen dem Bitcoin-Preis und der globalen Geldmenge/Liquidität an.

Man kann Bitcoin als einen Spiegel betrachten, der die Rate der globalen Geldschöpfung widerspiegelt: Bei einer Analyse von Daten zwischen Mai 2013 und Juli 2024 - durchgeführt von @samcallah und beauftragt von @LynAldenContact - wird die starke Sensitivität von Bitcoin gegenüber Liquidität deutlich. In diesem Zeitraum weiste der Bitcoin-Preis nicht nur eine stark positive Korrelation von 0,94 mit der globalen Liquidität auf, sondern bewegte sich in 83% der Fälle innerhalb eines beliebigen 12-Monats-Zeitraums in die gleiche Richtung wie die globale Liquidität – häufiger als jede andere große Anlageklasse. (Grafik 1)

Für Investoren bedeutet dies, dass die globale Liquidität ein entscheidender Faktor für die langfristige Preisentwicklung von Bitcoin ist und bei der Bewertung von Bitcoin-Zyklen sowie der Prognose zukünftiger Preisbewegungen berücksichtigt werden sollte.

Wenn wir uns auf Basis dieser Erkenntnisse jetzt die extrapolierten Daten zum globalen Liquiditätszyklus von @crossbordercap anschauen (Grafik 2), können wir in etwa abschätzen, wann der nächste Hochpunkt erreicht wird: Nachdem der globale Liquiditätszyklus im Dezember 2022 seinen Tiefpunkt erreichte, was zeitgleich das Ende des Bärenmarktes einläutete, sollte der globale Liquiditätszyklus seinen nächsten Höhepunkt etwa im September 2025 erreichen.

Dementsprechend sollten wir bedingt durch die starke positive Korrelation zum Bitcoin-Preis Ende Q3/Anfang Q4 2025 mit dem Zyklus-Top in Bitcoin rechnen.

Wenn man jetzt noch die zeitliche Verschiebung von etwa 10 Wochen zwischen der globalen Geldversorgung (M2) und dem Bitcoin-Preis berücksichtigt (Grafik 3), dann landen wir bei einem Zyklus-Top Mitte/Ende Q4 2025.

Jetzt noch zur Fragestellung, wann wir mit der nächsten Aufwärtsbewegung in Bitcoin rechnen können:

Hierfür habe ich den M2 Global Liquidity Index über den Bitcoin-Preis gelegt (Grafik 4) und geprüft mit welchem "Offset" (Verschiebung) die größte Korrelation bei einer "Lookback-Period" (Rückschauzeitraum) von 52 Wochen besteht. Die höchste Korrelation (0,87) besteht bei einer 12-wöchigen Verschiebung. Dementsprechend sollten wir nach dem jüngsten Anstieg der globalen Liquidität die nächste Aufwärtsbewegung von Bitcoin Anfang April (+- 2 Wochen) erwarten dürfen.
