🚨 BREAKING: South Korea will hold an emergency meeting today after its stock market lost nearly 40% from its recent peak.
The government is stepping in.
It's happening...
WTF
AI companies are purchasing large quantities of used and rare books. Scanning their contents to train models. Then turning the originals to pulp.
The sum of human thought, digitized and shredded.
Every book that gets scanned disappears from the physical world permanently. The knowledge survives only as training data inside a system no one can hold, browse, or resell.
What used to sit on a shelf for centuries now exists as weights in a model that might get deprecated next quarter.

Since January 2024, West Indies have managed to draw a test series in Australia, including a famous win at the Gabba. Drew a test series in Pakistan, including a win at Multan. Drew a test in New Zealand, scoring 400+ at Christchurch in the 4th innings.
Now a series win against Sri Lanka after 2003, and now have also won the 1st test against Pakistan. After a long time, there seems to be a good patch for them in red ball cricket, and one could hope it prolongs.
In Delhi now over 6 weeks, I’ve been analyzing India’s economy: It’s in poor shape. With youth unemployment sky high, education in a mess, global confidence low, with O net FDI, pollution at record levels with no action, the only hope is the nation’s youth that has realized this.
A truck full of stones appeared near the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar on July 20, prompting fears it could be used to frame protesters.
@ImAvdheshkumar traced it to a vehicle the Police had seized 4 days earlier after a crash that injured seven people.

Before we get into making a safe examination system, @NandanNilekani must examine the need for any entrance exam. Most exams are territorial power centres and business opportunities.
Take for example CUET. It is the most unnecessary examination Imposed on the hapless Delhi students that made the CBSE scores useless and killed school education. This was done to neutralise the AAP investment in government schools a waste. These kids cannot afford private coaching and a state topper is also denied a seat.
Similarly, NEET is useless for those who want to join a private medical college. The price differential (5 lacs and 1.5 crores) is so huge that at rank 30,000 all government colleges close their admission while even at rank 13 lac, private colleges are unable to fill seats. Private colleges are reserved for the rich 1% of India. If you indeed fighting against reservation and for meritocracy, shouldn’t you include this?
The TET, even JEE advanced, UGC NET etc can be modified to make it a test for those who don’t cross a certain level of education.
We must reduce the entrance exams. We must reduce the number of students who should take the exam. Increase the eligibility. For Ex: Make 80% in boards a qualification to get into all India institutions like AIIIMS, IITs etc. Make school education mandatory. Punish those in dummy schools. Hedge. De-risk. Spread.
Make sure that a 3 hour exam doesn’t become the life altering exam. It will reduce stress. Reduce suicides. The business of entrance exams has to be reformed before we reform the conduct of such exams.
The BJP followers are suddenly anti reservation. Which is good but like everything else its smokes and mirrors. No party in power can do anything about reservations infact reservation is why they are in power.
If they can do something about it, they have my full support.
The police is like the HR department in a company.
They make you feel like they are here to serve and protect the masses, but in reality they serve and protect the bosses. Sometimes from you.
It is what it is.
Maybe a dumb question, but why is a so-called serious news outlets using hashtags as DeepStateDipke & CJPGoons?
It is a clear violation of press ethics to use that sort of language on something you arguably should cover objectively.
Yaar jo log protest k against mein post kar rahe hain woh saare ek hii type k log lagg rahe hain. Privileged, non-student aur nihayti unpadh. Padhai karo yaar tum
