fu*k this i am going in depth in ts & rust frameworks, abstractions etc.
they know systems very well for them its just prompting. for student or freshers there are lot of things to learn and make hands dirty .
If i cant understand what ai is writing i will soon hit a celling.

people think I'm joking when I tell them that to develop taste for software they need to have brunch with their friends, watch old movies and find old records, walk around metropolitan cities and observe how the building styles lend to the personality of the people around them, but I'm so fkin dead serious. where else is this mythical "taste" going to come from? what are you doing to parse the human condition? mf you can barely decide what discomfort you're subjecting yourself to in finding out what you like/dislike, and I'm supposed to trust you to make decisions for millions of people? go do some pottery and come back to me and describe the joy you felt without faffing about curves or whatever, I need you to feel the clay under your fingernails and fall in love with mud. even steve had the decency to drop acid on a sweaty beach in goa to find himself, the least you can do is listen to your friends talk about their lives over a meal without getting distracted by your phone.

I hate this. I hate that people, even when slopping, don't even think about how it works. This has to end poorly and I don't see how an increase in "intelligence" is going to save you from the results of blind feature lust
@jon3k Just linear algebra on a GPU is understating the complexity/magic of an LLM
I think it’s like saying we know how to construct a human, because we made cells reproduce in a lab - there are magnitudes of differences between the two
@MohitKaleAI @hokoridev@mehulmpt Hard to imagine it in a different tone when the message starts off with “then why don’t you” lol
OP was sharing an experience, and wasn’t seeking advice, so offering it maybe didn’t help either
Just my two cents, not saying I’m objectively right
🤍 You are not alone, Nepal.

AN OPEN LETTER TO ELON MUSK, FROM AN ORDINARY NEPALI
Dear @ElonMusk,
You are building rockets to take humanity to Mars, advancing AI and robotics, connecting the world, and thinking about the future of human civilisation.
Today, I am writing from Nepal, where our question about humanity's future is painfully immediate.
How do we survive what is happening to our mountains?
On August 26, a catastrophic glacier collapse sent ice, rock, mud and water through the Himalayan region. More than 1,200 lives have been lost, thousands remain missing, families have been displaced, and homes, roads, bridges and hydropower infrastructure have been destroyed.
Nepal is now facing billions of dollars in losses and reconstruction.
Yet Nepal contributes only around 0.1% of global greenhouse-gas emissions.
That is the painful inequality of climate change:
Those who contributed least can end up paying one of the highest prices.
I am not writing to blame you for this disaster.
In fact, Tesla and many of your ventures have challenged old industries and pushed cleaner technologies forward.
I am writing because you have something very few people in human history have had at this scale:
the resources, technology, influence and ability to move the world when you choose to.
So, Mr. Musk, I respectfully ask you to consider something bigger than disaster relief.
Lead a $1 Billion Nepal Reconstruction & Himalayan Resilience Challenge.
Start by committing $100 million of your own wealth and invite the world's billionaires, technology companies, foundations and innovators to join you.
Let it help rebuild the communities, homes and critical infrastructure Nepal has lost.
But let it also build something for the next generation:
better Himalayan monitoring, disaster prediction and early warning; resilient infrastructure; scientific research; mapping; communications; emergency-response technology; drones, AI and other solutions that can save lives before the next disaster becomes a tragedy.
Make it a transparent, Nepal-led, globally supported initiative, working with the best scientists, institutions and technologies from Nepal and around the world.
Not simply aid after people die.
Investment so fewer people have to die next time.
Nepal's mountains are not important only to Nepal. The Himalayan system feeds rivers, ecosystems and communities across Asia.
What we learn here could ultimately protect millions far beyond our borders.
You have repeatedly challenged humanity to think bigger.
So today, from a small country in the Himalayas, we are asking you to do the same.
You are investing extraordinary resources to help humanity build a future on Mars.
Would you also help protect the future of people living at the roof of Earth?
This is not about sympathy for Nepal.
It is about climate justice, human responsibility and what extraordinary wealth can achieve when matched with extraordinary purpose.
Mr. Musk,
Will you lead?
We all are looking forward your response 🙏.
my new goal is to become a very desirable dinner party guest/host. I want to get better at conversation and making people have fun, having really comfortable drink ups in my house (should I become a wine guy?) and actually maintain a “rolodex” and social calendar (might vibe code these)
first step, learning to play the piano.
@paulbkimdev@ThePrimeagen Disagree, bugs come from incorrect low level implementations. In general I agree, more feature means more bugs. With AI, there’s a lot of output, lot less understanding and control, so when complexity increases even by a lil bit, bugs. Tada.
Uno reverse
Use AI, learn 15 questions to ask, go and watch YouTube videos and read about whatever topic your kid's interested in
Then talk to your kid on the way to school about it
Computer science people have developed an unintentional form of gatekeeping by virtue of being extremely bad at explaining/naming things, which results in simple concepts sounding far more complex than they are.
