@thisandtatt She was part of an administration that suffered inflation, so people felt worse off. She didnβt have a coherent plan on immigration. Gaza. And she wasnβt white. And sheβs a woman.
A mix of prejudice and not being strong enough on the specifics, I fear.
@EdbieLigerSmith@mehdirhasan But didnβt trump warn us about this election was rigged? I donβt think Harris should accept the result until all his accusations have been investigated.
@dtheavenger It is possible that a lot of voters werenβt buying what she was selling. Some reasons:
1 inflation happened on Bidenβs watch. Americans feel worse off.
2 no coherent story on uncontrolled immigration (issue magnified by 1)
3 many donβt want a woman Prez.
4 sheβs not white.
As we all await the outcome of what feels like a make-or-break election, I want to offer some perspective, if youβll hand a fellow with eight-plus decades the mic for a moment.
@rcolvile@CPSThinkTank Thatβs the problem with the pesky free market, isnβt it? It leads free companies to make the products and services the market demands. As in this case.
@nfergus@DavidRozado@CPSThinkTank The drive for AI is a free-market activity. The content is a result of this. The models are those which best meet the needs of the market. Unless, if course, you are advocating for greater government regulation?
@RichardHanania βIf we can conceive of it, it must be real.β Really? If he can get away with this line of reasoning for dragons, he can then make the same argument for God.
I can imagine the short shrift Dawkins gave this nonsense.
@AaronLionheart8@dieworkwear People are different shapes and sizes. They should be able to make clothing choices that make them look good. If, as you seem to claim, only fit supermodels can look good in business casual, perhaps we should free ourselves from the imposed tyranny of this corporate uniform.
@Otto_English Damn. I think you may have inadvertently cut off the end of his speech:
ββ¦so give me money so that I can get rich by telling you about more untrue things with which I want to scare you.β
There. Fixed it for you.
Remember, clocks go back tonight.
If you're a Tory, back to 1953.
If you're Reform, back to 1932.
If you're Jacob Rees-Mogg, back to 1741.
And if you're Nigel Farage, you just demand that 'Clocks Should Go Back Where They Came From."
