Certainly looks like Grey headed Wagtail. I saw one from the side of the road, near the bus stop lay by on 10th May 1983, my first 'thumbergi'. That was about 100yds from where the Saltholme. Hide now stands. Good luck with finding good local birds. Pete Griffin@birderpete

Someone spotted this distant Yellow Wagtail on Back Saltholme. On viewing the photos the head looks very dark. Possibly a Grey-headed Wagtail?

I have spent many years enjoying the wildlife and tranquility of the South Gare at Redcar. It is a wonderful place for locals and visitors alike.
River dredgings, being dumped at sea are a major local concern with many poisoned crabs being washed ashore.

Football rules need a few tweaks, but Rugby League needs the Disciplinary Panel to be overhauled as soon as possible. Some of the decisions this season have been idiotic, and what is a 'frivolous' appeal ?

Thanks for the video Ian. It inspired me to brave the high seas on Sep 2, on a Wildlife Cruise out of Whitby. We saw 5 or 6 Minke Whale with some pretty close. £20 for 2.5 hour cruise was well worth it.

First birding since getting new hip on 10 March. Cannot drive so deposited by daughter at Scaling Dam on bench near disabled car park. 2nd winter Little Gull 1215 to 1330, 9 Goldeneye, 16 Wigeon, 2 Common Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 3 feral Barnacle Geese, 3 Pinkfeet (possibly feral)

I can't see the problem! This bird has given many people from all over the country a lot of pleasure. No disturbance, public footpath, decent parking, all positive! Just a few days ago, on my second visit, I met a couple from Staffs that were overjoyed that it lifted its head.
