Day 1 of ringing, autumn 22: First ringing season was relatively slow, with 20 birds of 8 sps. Garden warblers was the most abundant, while we were also treated with two Hoopoes. Thrilled for the coming days!

15 species of wader around Larnaca this afternoon including 2 Sanderling (year tick!), 2 Collard pratincole, 27 little and 4 Temmincks stint, 15 LRP, 2 Marsh and 26 Common sandpiper.
+ 10 Ruddy shelduck, 16 Garganey, Whiskered tern and Yellow wag.

Glad I went out early today even though still very hot. Barred Warbler, E Orphean Warbler, L Whitethroat, Greater Sandplover and a male Red backed Shrike all in the Agia Napa area with a Whiskered Tern, two Greater Flamingo and a Marsh Sandpiper the best at Oroklini #cyprusbirds
