SOUTH AFRICA
UGANDANS
Now Ugandans can apply for their visas electronically which is a fair start for Ugandans traveling to South Africa.
Thank you so @wekesa_amos indeed Uganda is officially Ebola free. The country is open and ready to welcome travelers for tourism, business and other activities. Tourism supports countless Ugandan families, communities and local businesses. Come discover Uganda our wildlife, culture, landscapes and warm hospitality are waiting for you. @MTWAUganda@TourismBoardUg@UN@NatGeoTravel@TourismBoardUg@TourBugandaUG
TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS FOR UGANDA
CANADA WHY?
Uganda has NO Ebola! Not heard of South Sudan having Ebola either!
When CANADA and US lock UGANDA out, the rest of world locks out, some quietly by limiting visas, others block you outright.
Over 6yrs of travel restrictions kills a small economy like Ugandas.
Ministry of health, you see the impact of speaking fwaaaa ?
Congratulations to @RwenzoriMarathn & @wekesa_amos up on being voted Uganda’s Best Tourism Product of the Year.
@acus_uganda , together with @runforbirds , warmly congratulates you on this remarkable achievement. Your work shows how tourism, sport, community development and conservation can come together to protect Uganda’s natural heritage while creating meaningful opportunities for local people.
By bringing people closer to Uganda’s landscapes, wildlife, birds and communities, you are helping turn tourism into a powerful force for conservation awareness, environmental stewardship and sustainable livelihoods.
We are inspired by your footsteps and look forward to walking and running alongside you in building a future where tourism helps conserve the very nature and culture that make Uganda special. Keep leading the way. @wekesa_amos@Thomas_Tayebwa@newvisionwire@TourismBoardUg@MTWAUganda@BirdLife_News@birdsoftoday

At Avian Conservation Uganda, we don’t just talk about bird conservation — we act when birds need us most.
At Lake Opeta, what began as a mission to rescue one stranded Shoebill chick unexpectedly led us to another mature Shoebill that had reportedly been kept in captivity for over five months. We went for one. We returned having rescued two.
Limited resources, difficult logistics and other challenges may test us, but they will never weaken our commitment to Uganda’s birds.
When a bird needs saving, we will do everything within our capacity to answer the call.
