@kaschronicle I technically haven't either, but laid off once and had a weird thing happen w a temp job where they didn't want to call it firing & told the temp agency that they overhired but when pressed by the agency lady said that I didn't fit in/described just neutral autistic traits🙃
My thing is like, my Niles has a 24/7 in-home caretaker (me) with means, and even with early detection and care he had severe adverse behavioral effects thru no fault of his own,&that led to truly internalizing, w horror, that PEOPLE go thru the same, w/o the 24/7 personal carer
Even with continuing education in public health etc there's just so much I don't know. Like I knew about the types, the basic biology but I really had next to no understanding of how profoundly it affects your life. Like socially and economically
I know this is so vague but what is the name of that one American economist who's on TV sometimes who absolutely LOVES pussy? Idk he's bald. I remember reading his Wikipedia page and laughing bc the personal life section had a shocking quote in it. About how much he loves pussy
During this time Niles was doing stuff like stealing the ham out of Wills sandwich while he was trying to take a bite. And taking the 20s out of his wallet and playing keep-away. Normal kitten stuff. Kip was just sitting back and observing
My partner had never lived with a cat or even been around them much until he met me. And when we got Kip he was a very unusually sedate kitten, so he was not set up with reasonable expectations for Niles, who was a pretty regular kitten (if very churny) and he would be like Lev
I think Niles doesn't like me...he seems like he is trying to spite me... and i had to be like dude no this is actually a regular cat. This is what they do when they're little when they don't have Ailments
I found the first ever picture I took of my cat, Kaju, in 2020, when he was starving & scared and just looking for love. And this is him today, he travelled with me when I moved from Chennai to Mumbai 🥰
And almost exactly half of the 12yrs I've been On the Market jobwise have been with me unemployed & doing very uneven and precarious freelance/gig/etc work which i used to feel quite bad about
My current psychiatrist is both in my top 5 favorite psych providers ever and in the top 5 worst at their job. And she was telling me about how she got strongarmed via phone call into buying an "AI assistant" for her practice that both doesn't work and whispers creepily on calls
Just noticed you can see in pic#1 clearly the scar on his nose he got from a misdirected aggression spat w his bonded pairmate when they mistook each other for the 2mo old kittens we were fostering which they were both terrified of....
The 1972 screwworm epidemic killed 90,000 cattle in Texas after the fly was supposedly contained. It was devastating to Texas Ranchers. Here's a video put out by the USDA about it in 1972.
