transmedicalism becoming trans person who encourages medical transition or even trans person who medically transitions instead of what it originally referred to is an actual terf victory
implying that fictional vampire lesbians can't remain lesbians because they'll get "bored" after a long time is lesbiphobic, regardless of vampirism being fictional.
A transgender university student shared an incredibly powerful moment from their graduation ceremony.
Fin (TT: fi_n008) posted a clip from Silliman University’s graduation ceremony showcasing her walk to receive her degree. After taking her degree, she unfurled a Transgender Pride flag, held her head high, and waved it for the crowd to see before walking off.
Fin shared her concerns in the caption leading up to the moment, as well as the reason she decided the demonstration was something she needed to do.
“I honestly was so terrified to do this, but I realised that I no longer wanted to hide any part of who I am. I am a trans woman, and I am proud of the person I have fought so hard to become,” she wrote.
@VI0LETANGELS Because straight women don’t actually perceive lesbianism as something real and deep. They’re either doing it for some else’s gaze or “joking around”. Actual Lesbians take their identity and bonds with other women much more seriously
the only reason people say trans men can be lesbian but not trans women can be gay is because most people dont actually see us as men, they see us seperately or just straight up as women
Truth be told, I wouldn't have such an issue with it if those people used the colors and meanings correctly and not just "pink for girls, blue for boys"
if you're a closeted butch and your conservative family believes in the "girls are weaker than boys" nonsense, it will feel like a humiliation ritual witnessing how much they baby you. but use that as fuel to prove them wrong
On the 11th day of Pride, I would like to honour Wilfred Owen, a gay man and one of the leading poets of World War I. "Anthem for Doomed Youth", a poem to the people lost in war, is especially moving. Owen was killed in action on 4 November 1918; a week before the armistice.
literally! the entire reason for including trans men in the definition is 'we're transphobic fucks who treat trans men as just very butch women and have gaslit some of them into believing this'
