BIS has reached a settlement agreement with Applied Materials, Inc. covering illegal exports of U.S. semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

The settlement includes an approximately $252 million penalty, multiple audits of the company's export compliance program, and annual certifications to BIS in connection to those audits.

Today, @CommerceGov added 407 product categories to the list of steel and aluminum-containing products covered by Section 232 tariffs. As a result, the steel and aluminum content of these products will be subject to a duty rate of 50%.
