Taribo West
One of the things that made him unique as a defender was his elite one-on-one defending.
He relished individual duels, using his pace, strength, and timing to shut down some of the world's best attackers.
He remains one of the most distinctive defenders of his generation not just because of his iconic green hairstyles, but because of his unique blend of aggression, athleticism, and versatility.
I'm not surprised Thierry Henry named him as one of the players he didn't like to meet on the pitch.
Glad to welcome Mr. Ajayi Johnson, APC Unit 7 Secretary in Ibokun, into the Accord family.

6. Osun State is only a few days away from its gubernatorial election. Therefore, nothing ought to be done to give an impression that the EFCC or indeed any other agency of the federal government is being used to interfere with the election.
7. Based on the foregoing premise, I am duty-bound to issue a directive on this issue in consonance with the overriding public interest in preserving public confidence and the integrity, credibility, and fairness of our democratic process.
8. Accordingly, I have directed the EFCC to immediately proceed to the court to vacate the order and discontinue whatever action it has instituted against the Osun State Government in this regard.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU(GCFR)
ASO ROCK VILLA,
ABUJA
6th AUGUST, 2026
The increasing use of federal institutions to disrupt governance in opposition states in Nigeria is condemnable. As I said in my last newsletter, no government is above scrutiny but when institutions like the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are utilised to witch hunt specific states or public office holders, it indicates that their investigations are selective and erodes public trust in these institutions.
The “freezing” of an official state government account without due legal process goes beyond the powers vested in the EFCC by the laws of our land. And the timing of the action suggests that this is just another attempt by the federal government to unduly influence the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State.
Federal institutions must remain faithful to their constitutional mandate by acting with fairness, professionalism and political neutrality at all times. We therefore call on all Nigerians, civil society organisations and the international community to remain vigilant. Democracy cannot thrive where our institutions are perceived as instruments of political intimidation. Protecting the independence and credibility of our institutions is essential to preserving public trust and safeguarding Nigeria's democracy. The rule of law must prevail over the rule of politics.
What a fight.
We made it out of the group stage.
This win was about ALL of us: every player who stepped on that pitch, everyone in the squad pushing us on, to our crew, technical team, staff, and every single fan back home believing with us.
That's what collective effort looks like. We fight for each other.
Quarter-finals, here we come. The mission continues.

The blind man who opened the eyes of the blind…
Prophet T.O. Obadare was so powerful that those around him often thought he wasn’t human.
He was at indoor program one time and the heat was so much he was sweating, he used his index finger to wipe off the sweat and the droplet of his sweat touched a blind man sitting close to him in the congregation, immediately his blond eyes opened.
That was how much of God’s power this man carried.
A woman carried her crippled child after a program to go meet baba. Baba was already in the car being driven off, then the woman said in her heart that only if the child could step or touch the footprint of baba Obadare.
She placed the crippled child’s feet on the Tyre thread of baba’s car that drove off, & the child immediately jumped up on his feet and began to run.
This is a man totally sold out to God

N235.4m WAS PAID TO CONSTRUCT CLASSROOMS IN A SCHOOL THAT DOES NOT EXIST.
According to the Kano state Q4 2025 BIR, N235.4m was paid for the Construction of 2No. 4 Classrooms Story Block with office and Store at GGSSS, Permanent Site, Massu in Sumaila LGA, Kano state.
We visited Massu community in June 2026 and not only did we not find this project, residents say there’s no school called GGSSS in Massu community. We also visited other villages in Massu ward but there’s no school called GGSSS in the entire Massu.
Our questions are:
🔎 Why was this sum disbursed for a school that does not exist?
🔎 If this project was intended to be a new school, why has work not started despite disbursement?
We implore the Kano State SUBEB to provide the public with details of how funds disbursed to this project was spent.
Public Funds Must Work. #AskQuestions
Meet A Nigerian School Teaching Children Loyalty To The United States
The school you just watched teaching Nigerian children to pledge allegiance to the United States is in Owerri, southeastern Nigeria.
Pearlville School claims to promote critical thinking, but this is the exact opposite. Teaching children to recite the US national anthem and pledge loyalty to a foreign country is not education. It is ideological conditioning at the most impressionable stage of their lives.
In what world should allegiance to the United States have any place in the curriculum of a school on African soil?
What exactly are these children being taught about their own country, history, identity and responsibility as Nigerians?
This ridiculousness exposes how deeply African identity has been pushed to the margins of our education systems, while foreign cultures are treated as superior and worthy of loyalty.
It also raises serious questions about the government and education authorities that approved, ignored, or failed to stop this. A country that does not take its children's education and identity seriously cannot pretend to be serious about sovereignty.
