Having a fabulous couple of days at the @GASC_OZ conference, and very happy to have shared some of my PhD work on triazoles as nitrification inhibitors with Prof. Uta Wille and @FertiliserHub#smartfertiliser#phdchat#chemistry
Bethany Taggert (Wille Group) @ChemistryUoM presented her work on nitrification inhibitors for sustainable agriculture at the 1st Australian Conference on Green & Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering @RACInational@GASC_OZ#greenchemistry
@ZJAyres Either โScience has taught me that everything is more complicated than we first assume, and that being able to derive happiness from discovery is a recipe for a beautiful life.โ from Lab Girl by @HopeJahren , or โฌ๏ธ by Philip Ball. Possibly both.
@Rhiannon_Kirton @dmayhood Sorry you're feeling this (I'm very much right there with you in my PhD hell & it sucks!). I'm in Aus, and if you do wish to return I'd recommend you keep an eye on the quarantine requirements. Some states are ditching hotel quarantine soon if you're fully vaxxed
@Utopiana Srry I meant the same people prob would have met up in homes even if a safe(r) outdoor option was on the table based on behaviour towards restrictions. Such a restricted group outdoor gathering (eg 4 ppl/gp) seems unlikely to be enticing enough to change attitude to restrictions
@Utopiana a little idealistic considering they were willing to ignore current restrictions to gather with friends/family at home for the GF or public holiday? what suggests that outdoor screening guidelines would be respected and not just largely ignored as well? genuine question
@NaomiPreston88@JohnHockey18@PhDVoice ๐โโ๏ธoh yep that's me! terrible anxiety about opening my emails and finding one from my supervisor asking for an update on how the writing is going. it's not going anywhere at the moment
