“3 digits is optimal” isn’t supported by domain or cognitive research. Plenty of people register and trade 5-, 6-, and 7-digit names, so “no one is using a 7-digit domain” is simply false. If .btc is outperforming .sats, the more likely explanation is that BTC is a stronger, more recognizable brand, not that domains ending in “s” are unpopular.
