In response to the recent legislative action in my state of Texas: I’m not pro-murdering babies.
I'm pro-Juanita who found out at her 20 week anatomy scan that the infant she had been so excited to bring into this world had developed without life sustaining organs.
One of the weirdest parts of this culture war is that the self-styled “warriors” aren’t willing to stand by the empirically racist images they’re supposedly defending. Green Eggs and Ham is not one of the books the @DrSeuss Foundation has decided to stop publishing.
“Did @AOC, 10 years ago at the tender age of 21, parachute into the state of Texas to put up windmills under cover of night?” says @chrislhayes of the GOP blaming power outages on “green energy,” despite Republicans holding "nearly every statewide office in Texas for decades."
Allegheny County Executive gave us this answer when we asked for his reaction to Senator Cruz’s statement about the Paris Climate Accord not helping our area. @KDKA
The Trump era was all about The Big Lie. But long before Trump, bad-faith nonsense like this was the core of the both sides discourse. Let's put an end to that. No one thinks that "unity" meant that Biden wouldn't enact his agenda. We don't have to take this stuff seriously.
"Too many in the media bottled it. At some point we have to own this. Donald Trump and his mob succeeded in getting this far because we, the media, failed. We failed you."
I have been waiting four long years to say this. It's important.
Pls watch/share:
It’s really... I don’t know, *something* that the leaders of a party that claims the mantle of Christian values can’t even pretend to notice that, in our faith, repentance precedes reconciliation.
“Members of the president's legal team have openly said the last recourse might be the GOP-controlled legislature overriding the will of the people and choosing their own slate of pro-Trump electors to vote for the president at the Electoral College's December meeting."
On this day in 1898, after a biracial government was elected into office, mobs of armed white supremacists invaded Wilmington city hall in North Carolina, and forced everyone to resign. The mob also destroyed Black businesses and killed dozens of Black people.
I asked @PAAttorneyGen to respond to Ted Cruz’s attacks on Philly’s voting system on Fox last night. His answer:
“@SenTedCruz should know better. And he should also stay the hell out of Pennsylvania’s business.”
#Elections2020
A country where Democrats have won the popular vote in five of the past six elections while GOP senators have represented a minority of the country even when they control the Senate is not “center-right.” That’s a myth that helps prop up conservatives’ minority rule.
