@DiscussingFilm Christ. They're so desperate for a Harry Potter that it's pathetic at this point. You'd think the "impact" of Percy Jackson would actually give them pause for thought. But no, gotta keep the machine churning.
@Laine_MiB@SouthApe Do you not remember the dog, the family that most likely died, and the guy who tried to run into a store and was snapped up? That thing killed people and the movies response is "it's all good, just send it home." Realistically the second it ate people, they'd King Kong it's ass.
@DinoguyREDUX@SouthApe Why would they not evacuate people? Do you think that the only jobs of police are to tell a problem to stop and if they don't, shoot it? They abandoned the movie like pathetic cowards.
@frogleggedman@live4ga@DiscussingFilm How do they progress beyond single shorts? Because did we need to know that Vincent got shot mid way through the movie when he found his arc (or lack thereof) at the end of the movie. Whereas Jules did. The arcs were in a single piece of the plot, not a whole.
@uniquemoviemom A battle so good that cinema STILL hasn't topped it. It just needed a Gothmog or Witch King in the Uruk Hai army. A focal point for their perspective.
@BlazeBinges I love that Batman stops Wonder Woman from stopping Superman. Bats has THAT much absolute faith in Supes that he will do the right thing that he knows to let him decide for himself.
@TheCinesthetic That this franchise dropped John Leguizamo as one of John's friends is bullshit. Pops up for two seconds in the second one and that's it.
@frogleggedman@live4ga@DiscussingFilm Characters are a crucial component ALONG with plot. Because without a plot, how do characters progress? There's not potential for an arc if there is no plot. Any of the sequences could have been switched around or removed and nothing would've changed. It's just good performances.
@live4ga@DiscussingFilm Pulp Fiction is good but his other movies top it for a simple reason. All his other movies have a cohesive plot. Pulp doesn't. You could remove ANY part of Pulp and it wouldn't harm it's whole as a narrative.
@UncannyKam Because he doesn't want to. He's literally only hurting Superman because his baby child is being held prisoner under threat of death. And he changes his mind when Luthor kills someone in front of them. Metamorpho is a good guy.
