We know many people want to help our hummingbirds after Hurricane Melissa.
If you’re putting out feeders, please don’t use brown sugar, raw sugar or coloured syrups as they can harm the birds.
Use 1 part granulated white sugar to 4 parts water.

In our tropical climate the mixture spoils quickly. If it becomes cloudy or milky after 2–3 days, wash the feeder and add fresh solution.

Rooster, is It Safe to Drink Water If Cane Toads Fell in the Tank?
No. Avoid drinking or cooking with it.

1. Cane toads release toxins from glands that can contaminate the water.
2. Can cause vomiting, diarrhea, allergic reactions, and is dangerous for pets.

Dump the water, clean and disinfect the tank, then refill.
Use the contaminated water only for flushing or outdoor cleaning.
