It rained last night and there is hopefully more on the way! Which is nice cause I'll be able to pull the weeds that popped up since we've been gone! It's amazing the difference actual rain can do. It's going to be a good day!

One things I haven't talked about until now is that our old man Artie passed away while we were gone. He was one of the best cats, and will be greatly missed.

He was 14 this year, and had been great the past couple of years. And last month we took him to the vet 3 times to run tests to try to figure out what was wrong. He wasn't eating. After tests, some steroids and antibiotics it was attributed to pancreatitis. He was eating and seemed to be doing good.

He would go through phases of not being hungry for a day, which I thought were just flare-ups. I would just supplement with churus, which he never turned down. And I knew he was at least getting something in him.

My step daughter comes over twice a day to take off them when we are on vacations. So the cats know her, because my boys are "stranger danger" cats. She called Tuesday and said Artie wasn't hungry. I told her about the churus, and she said he ate 2 of them. Wednesday we called to check and she said he ate breakfast and dinner like usual. Thursday morning when she came, Artie was laying in our bathroom and had passed sometime through the night.

I now worry about Frank with Artie's passing. Frank loved him so much, from the time we brought Frank home. He came to check that we're still here about every 20 minutes. And just sits and calls for Artie. He was laying here this morning, the entry to the last room Artie was in.

Back to my morning schedule! Drinking coffee and getting ready for the day. It's supposed to be warm today. Then it's supposed to cool off. I guess mother nature decided to show mercy on me, since we ended up in a heatwave in the UK.
