@BABookFans@LousyLibrarian Do they really trust you? Aren't they upset when they return and something is missing. We used to have signs up saying library not responsible for items left unattended. Some branches used to run announcements about high theft.
@LousyLibrarian We say it's been UNEVENTFUL. We have found it becomes a horrible day when you say the Q word - quiet. We don't mind busy, we mind the back to back incidents that we get from our public.
@mcmaenza@LousyLibrarian Us too. For us, we are told it's due to privacy reasons. We can give you the website, but it'll be up to them to fill out the online forms. We also don't interpret what the form is asking for in terms of documentation that needs to be uploaded with the application.
@nochickennipple @vidasinbrujula @ThreeZelda@CBCNews People don't donate directly to Value Village. You donate to a charity such as diabetes or whichever one who calls you that month, and it's usually close to a holiday. They send it to Value Village, who will give them the VALUE of the items into cash. The charity gets the cash.
@EldenRay@LousyLibrarian Toronto Public Library was alao cyber attacked. We have been down since Saturday. Today is day 5 and counting. We remain open because we have wifi. People can come to our library events, return and borrow. For every understanding person, there are 9 people who are idiots.
@LousyLibrarian We have an 8-page document that the person would have to fill out explaining what was offensive about the book, what page was it on and what was the line that they found offensive. Guy with list would have given up since it require them to give us information.
