56 tribes.
56 languages.
One remarkable country.
Uganda's cultural diversity is as impressive as its wildlife. From the Buganda Kingdom to the plains of Karamoja and the stories of the Batwa people, every journey reveals a different side of the Pearl of Africa.
Wildlife gets the headlines.
The people make the experience unforgettable.

The rangers guiding you through Bwindi know every gorilla family by name.
They track them daily. They protect them around the clock. And many of them grew up in the communities surrounding the forest.
Uganda's mountain gorilla population has grown from around 300 in the 1980s to over 450 today. That does not happen without these people.
Your trek supports that work. Trek with Likana Safaris.

UGANDA TOURISM
The last 6yrs have been hardest year for me in my tourism life and yes, we have had covid, Ebola but management of information has failed us!
Tourism had also attracted many young educated Ugandans and they were starting to see results, I mentor some so I know and more were coming board.
I don’t know about those that indirectly benefit from tourism who are so many and many of them don’t even know they do by the way.
It’s not about disease outbreaks, it’s just been how information has been handled, if you follow me, you can see the efforts i invest in and yes, many others do!
After 6yrs, this year the few accommodations have gone up to about 70% and within 2 days of announcement, we had moved from 70% to 30% and kept reducing.
Uganda already has very few accommodations but even the few, owners are struggling with loans and all sorts of bills across board.
Nothing has killed the entrepreneurs spirit especially in tourism like information handling by the ministry of health. And it’s more about how information is put out there!
No country succeeds with a dampened spirit of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs make the economy and everything rotates around how the economy functions.
Me who knows about regional business and also understand our potential as a people and a country sometimes, it’s hard very hard.
Because of 2 planting seasons we casually say, oh we shall get over it. What keeps us backwards are things we can handle better according to me.
If don’t travel, you will never get to see even in our neighborhood how much business those guys do and you know what, they aren’t any better than us!
I interact with them, I can tell they aren’t any better than us. Many tell me, Amos you are operating in a small environment, you can do better elsewhere.
Then you ask yourself, who else will improve Uganda if am not one of them?
Uganda's heroes didn't just make history — they made it possible for us to build something worth having. Today we pause, reflect, and recommit to the work of nation building. Happy National Heroes Day from all of us at Ayad Consults International. 🇺🇬
Every trail we walk, every landscape we share with the world — it exists because of those who gave everything to protect it. We celebrate Uganda's heroes today with gratitude and pride. Happy National Heroes Day from Likana Safaris Uganda. 🇺🇬

Uganda / Rwenzori Marathon Meets Manchester city
Love for Rwenzori Marathon👇
This morning, over 42,000 runners took part in the Manchester Marathon one of Europe’s largest and flattest races, often favored by runners chasing personal best times.
In an inspiring twist, Ugandans are steadily embracing the spirit of marketing our country on the global stage.
A good friend of mine, Bonny, CEO of @LikanaSafaris, reached out early this morning requesting Rwenzori Marathon promotional materials, including QR codes. Since then, he has been passionately spreading the word about the marathon and Uganda’s rich tourism offerings among fellow runners and spectators.
During our conversation, he shared that he chose to become a self-made ambassador of the marathon in Manchester reflecting the same energy and dedication that leaders like @wekesa_amos embody in promoting Uganda wherever they go.
From my perspective, the next edition of the @RwenzoriMarathn should actively participate in global events like this, God willing, with support from the @UGHighCommLDN Commission in London.
Such collaborations could amplify Uganda’s visibility even further.
It’s also worth noting that the United Kingdom remains one of Uganda’s largest tourism source markets in Europe making platforms like the Manchester Marathon incredibly valuable for destination marketing.
Day 7. Nkuringo Sector, Bwindi.
Over 48 community members trained in digital skills, business development and platform onboarding. Welcomed by Head Guide Mr. Levi Gwamuhanda who encouraged locals to embrace digital technology.
Four sectors down. The reception keeps getting warmer.
