Dear visitors to the Uganda High Commission,

Thank you for your understanding.
The journey then continued from conservation to culture at the sacred Kasubi Tombs in Kampala the spiritual resting place of Buganda Kings and one of Africa’s most treasured UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Built with wood, reed, thatch, and traditional craftsmanship, Kasubi remains more than a historical site; it is a living symbol of identity, spirituality, continuity, and the enduring legacy of the Buganda Kingdom. #POATE2026 #ExploreUganda #VisitUganda #PearlOfAfrica #UgandatoUK
On Ngamba Island, conservation lives in harmony with nature, Powered through eco-friendly practices including solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and sustainable waste management, the sanctuary offered the UK delegation a rare opportunity to witness Uganda’s leadership in responsible tourism and wildlife rehabilitation. From chimpanzee feedings to the calm waters of Lake Victoria, today was conservation in motion. #POATE2026 #ExploreUganda #VisitUganda #PearlOfAfrica #UgandatoUK
“What we imagined Uganda would be is not what we experienced it was far beyond.” 🇬🇧🇺🇬 From misty gorilla highlands and the thunder of Murchison Falls to rhino tracking, chimpanzee conservation, cultural heritage, and global tourism partnerships at #POATE2026, the UK Hosted Buyers leave Uganda not just with memories but with transformed perspectives of the Pearl of Africa. Their voices. Their journey. Their Uganda story all was curated by @UGHighCommLDN #ExploreUganda #VisitUganda #PearlOfAfrica #UgandatoUK
I was glad to launch the 10th Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo at Munyonyo today. Uganda remains one of the most unique tourism destinations because of our favourable climate, rich culture, peace and natural beauty.
Regarding Ebola, there is no cause for alarm. We are applying targeted measures and continuing to work scientifically to keep people safe while keeping our economy open.
As our economy grows towards upper-middle-income status, we shall also improve the tourism experience, including friendlier visa arrangements to attract more visitors. I therefore welcome the world to come and explore Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.
From the heart of Lake Victoria to the soul of Buganda Kingdom. 🌊🇺🇬 Today the UK Hosted Buyers crossed the Equator waters to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a 100-acre forest sanctuary dedicated to protecting rescued and orphaned chimpanzees while advancing conservation, eco-tourism, and wildlife education. A powerful reminder that Uganda protects what matters. #POATE2026 #ExploreUganda #VisitUganda #PearlOfAfrica #UgandatoUK
🇬🇧🇺🇬 As the UK Hosted Buyers landed in the Pearl of Africa, Uganda’s High Commissioner @UGHighCommLDN, Amb. Nimisha Madhvani & team, had already designed a trip to connect tourism, conservation, culture, hospitality, trade, and investment under Uganda’s Economic and Commercial Diplomacy agenda. From the tropical shores of Lake Victoria to the misty gorilla highlands of Bwindi. From the thunder of Murchison Falls to rhino tracking at Ziwa. From @ngambaisland and the sacred @KasubiTombs to the global tourism stage at #POATE202 Every destination revealed a different chapter of Uganda’s story. #POATE2026 #ExploreUganda #VisitUganda #PearlOfAfrica #UgandatoUK
