When RPF Inspector Chandana Sinha stepped in, she saw not numbers but futures at risk. In 2024 and 2025, at the heart of Indian Railways’ child-welfare mission, she led Operation Nanhe Farishte with single-minded courage and compassion.

Her team tracked down and freed 40 minors trapped in the cycle of child labour, guiding them back to safety and dignity.

This was more than a rescue. It was a belief in every child’s right to a childhood.
Today, her dedication is recognised with Indian Railways’ highest service honour for 2026, celebrating her vigilance, care, and tireless service.
