๐จ BREAKING: Did MrBeast just stealth-test the future of telecom?
In his new clip, people are calling each other from the desert, the Amazon, AND Antarctica. The catch? They are using regular iPhones.
The video is sponsored by Google. But wait... how do you get cell service in Antarctica?
Here is the missing puzzle piece: Google has a massive partnership with $ASTS (AST SpaceMobile). ๐ฐ
ASTS beams broadband from space directly to everyday smartphones. No satellite dish needed.
Is this a low-key showcase of the ASTS network in action? What do you guys think?
Guinness World Record. ๐ We build bigger in Texas ๐ช๐ช๐ช
BlueBirds just made history, recognized by Guinness as the world๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝs largest commercial communications arrays ever deployed in low Earth orbit.
An American breakthrough in space engineering.
Built in Texas. Broadband from space. A market we invented. ๐บ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐ฑ

Execution in Motion
BlueBird 11 is on its way from Midland to Cape Canaveral ahead of next month's orbital launch.
BlueBirds 12 and 13 willย follow soon. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Production continues through BlueBird 38 in Texas.
Build.ย Ship. Launch. Repeat.
Execution at scale. ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐บ๐ฒ

Successful launch!๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
All satellites were captured within minutes and already orbiting Earth with all systems nominal.
Congratulations to the incredible AST SpaceMobile team! 250Y U.S.A. ๐๐ถ ๐ค

What happened? Why BO New Glenn blew up?
- Main ox valve fire caused a detonation in the engine -> prop tanks ruptured -> vehicle detonation. Significant damage & likely all gone. Worst anomaly of the decade. The last thing you want is to lose your launch pad, the most complicated, thought out, expensive system. BO still will need to assess the damage. Does not look to be a design flaw, looks like a spark was introduced, likely through friction into the engine system with residual fuel.
How long until BO is back launching?
- 7-12 month
Implication for AST:
- Significant delay to constellation. We have 3 SpaceX launches this year for 9 sats total booked. Perhaps we can jump the line by throwing money at it to get another SpaceX launch. Baseline is still 3-4 SpaceX launches and 1 Vulcan launch. Vulcan also keeps having anomalies on their launches and is not an ideal option, but we will be forced to use them now. Looking at 7-20 on the high end of new sats launched. Completed sats can be easily stored, needs to be in a safe controlled environment similar to the shipping containers they use to ship the sats to Canaveral.
Short term is going to suck. Long term it won't make a difference.
My INTV w/ @AbelAvellan about the telco satellite jv and the role @AST_SpaceMobile play, Bluebird production and launch plans, and how the SpaceX IPO will impact the sector $ASTS
.@AbelAvellan, Chairman and CEO of @AST_SpaceMobile, says the company is leading direct to device satellite broadband and expects rapid growth as space based connectivity expands globally.

New from this report:

NATO actively exploring AST for 5G D2D
Amazon LEO not a threat in D2D before 2030
Read this twice.
AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon just announced a JOINT VENTURE for satellite direct-to-device service.
All three. Together. A carrier coalition for D2D.
$ASTS just issued a press release commending it. Abel Avellan: โhappy to see how the industry is preparing.โ
Why this matters:
T-Mobile was SpaceXโs exclusive D2D partner. Their CFO called it โlow usage, geographically containedโ two days ago.
Now T-Mobile is joining AT&T and Verizon in a carrier-controlled D2D venture.
The JV needs a technology partner.
The options:
SpaceX? Building a competing wireless network. Carriers donโt empower competitors.
Amazon? D2D doesnโt exist yet. Acquisition not closed.
ASTS? AT&T and Verizon are already equity investors. FCC authorization done. 98.9 Mbps proven. Carrier-partnered model built specifically for this.
Companies donโt issue supportive press releases about things that threaten them.
$ASTS was designed from day one for exactly this moment - - carriers unifying behind an independent satellite infrastructure partner.
IMO, this might be the biggest D2D catalyst of the year

$ASTS: AST achieving 98Mbps with previous Block-1 satellite and targeting ~200Mbps with Block-2 satellite.
Meanwhile Starlink DtC delivering 2.96Mbps in the North Sea ๐
