I’ve never understood criticising a movie for being “too self-indulgent”, is it a crime for a director to make a film about themselves? If anything, I love when a movie feels deeply personal to the person who made it, those are usually the films I connect with the most.
i don’t really care about this infighting bc it’s unserious but there’s something hilarious about having a teenage ryan gosling pfp while talking like this. the guy in your pfp lived in a trailer park, like almost exactly at the time your pfp was taken JCNKDKD
Just had an image of The Odyssey winning that stupid box office award at the Golden Globes and Christopher Nolan being forced to accept and it made me laugh.
“smear campaign” and it was something he said with his own dumbass mouth. anyway oscar voting had closed by that time but you guys can numb yourselves with this narrative to feel better
@nullrosemary you know how sometimes you can feel that a filmmaker made a specific film for themself and not the audience? yeah. self indulgent bullshit. the production value is insanely high to be fair
@tayhader he can take that third collaboration and shove it we have to get him off these streets and throw his ass down the hole it can’t go on like this
