Nothing is eternal, everything you have can be taken from you. I learnt this hard way! My life right now is not the way it used to be, homes gone, a lots has been taken from us and are still being taken
Lorenzo Salgado Araujo woke up at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, kissed his wife goodbye and drove off to pick up his construction crew just like he had done every day for 35 years. He never saw his family again. An ICE agent shot and killed him during a vehicle stop in Houston. ICE has since confirmed he was not even the target of their operation. He was a husband, a father and a hard worker. How many more families have to bury their loved ones before this stops? This is WRONG! Justice for Lorenzo!
Let’s talk about it Disney Channel should’ve been casted the McClain Sisters as the next Cheetah Girls long time ago… I’m just gonna leave this here since yall need proof why they should’ve been contacted.
One day we’re gonna talk about how they should’ve had the same push as the Jonas Brothers because there’s no reason why they didn’t have their own show together and released a few albums during their time on Disney
“When the last tree is cut, the last fish is caught, and the last river is polluted; when to breathe the air is sickening, you will realize, too late, that wealth is not in bank accounts and that you can’t eat money.”
The NFL treated Colin Kaepernick like he was dangerous. Meanwhile, he’s been paying for independent autopsies so grieving families can get answers they otherwise couldn’t afford.
Love Island USA atp pretty much always is v Black, and i find that SO fascinating. ALL viewers get attached to, root for, and identify with the Black women. They are the center of the romance-- the exact opposite of what Hollywood execs say audiences will watch. funny, that!
kind little reminder that his family is trying to keep his legacy alive with the cameron boyce foundation whilst also trying to raise more awareness about SUDEP. (sudden unexplained death in epilepsy). and is something that should also be shared!!!!
If you witnessed anything or recorded video that could help explain what happened to Nolan Wells, please come forward. Even the smallest detail could matter. If this were your child, you would want everyone with information to speak up. Help us pursue the truth.
Abolish ice now. Nobody is illegal. Keep calling for justice for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and all others murdered by the state both in and out of their custody.
13 black people have been lynched so far in 2026.
But people in Congress want to spend their time writing letters coddling Caitlin Clark
At what point is enough going to be enough?
Escaped enslaved man, Gordon, also known as 'Whipped Peter,' shows the scars on his back in Louisiana, 1863. The Trump administration ordered the removal of this photo, along with other signs and exhibits related to slavery, from several national parks.
This image, taken in 1863, shows Gordon, also known as “Whipped Peter,” a man who escaped slavery from a Louisiana plantation after enduring years of brutal abuse. The scars across his back tell a story that words alone never could.
After making a dangerous journey to Union Army lines during the American Civil War, Gordon underwent a medical examination where photographers captured the wounds left by repeated whippings. When the image was published, it spread rapidly across newspapers in the United States and Europe, becoming one of the most powerful pieces of visual evidence exposing the cruelty of slavery.
For many who had never witnessed the realities of slavery, this photograph shattered any illusion that it was a humane institution. It helped strengthen support for the abolitionist movement and encouraged many Black men to join the Union Army in the fight for freedom.
More than 160 years later, the photograph remains one of the most important historical records of slavery ever created. It is uncomfortable to look at, but history is not meant to be comfortable. Images like this remind us why preserving historical evidence matters. They allow future generations to understand not only the suffering people endured but also the resilience and courage of those who survived and fought for freedom.
In recent years, reports that this photograph and other slavery related exhibits were ordered removed from displays at some U.S. National Park sites sparked widespread debate among historians, educators, and preservation groups about how difficult chapters of history should be presented to the public. Whatever one’s political views, the discussion has highlighted the importance many place on protecting historical records so they can continue to educate future generations. (Reuters)
