ICYMI A Plan for Renewal: Why the Democratic Party needs to get out of 2024 spin cycle if they want to make “Blue By 2032” a reality by @nealcarter https://t.co/SGTzO2xY7L #BlueBy2032

I keep hearing calls to change the Democratic Party’s consulting class.
Here’s the truth: most Black candidates hire white consultants. We can critique the system all day, but Black candidates must also be held accountable.
If we want change, we have to hire Black consultants first.
As a consultant for over twenty years, I can attest to the literal shell games campaigns play with Black owned firms and contracts specific to minority voter outreach less than 50 days before election day.
To those Black owned firms that feel unrepresented and voiceless every cycle, understand that you have a voice with the Black Consultant Group.
We appreciate @NOTUSreports highlighting the gap in contracts between minority owned firms and our non minority counterparts.
“Who are you trusting to tell the story of the vice president?”
Minority-owned firms are frustrated the Harris campaign is relying on white-owned firms for spending, and they’re worried that could ultimately hurt the campaign with voters of color.

#ALC53 is upon us, and our members will be crisscrossing DC in many different capacities thus weeks as speakers, panelists, event hosts, and change makers! @CBCFInc
Harris campaign needs to take all the consultants the Democratic party normally relies on and shove them in a locker because whatever it is they're doing now is clearly effective and getting the Dem base stirring in a way I haven't seen in, well, many years.

🧵 Earlier this year, the @councilofdc passed the Revised Criminal Code Act (RCCA). Congressional Republicans are now leading the charge to block it.
But we already know what DC voters want, because @DCJusticeLab and @FWDus commissioned @HITStrat to poll them on the RCCA.
Worth noting that in every statewide race Brent mentioned white consultants were used 5-1 versus Black consultants to outreach to Black voters for yet another cycle.
HIT's @t_woodbury1 on Black voter outreach: Many Black voters have not heard from either party. If we are not reaching out to them in the palm of their hands, we’re not reaching them at all.
