The new DA for Los Angeles just removed all "special enhancements" for charges involving violence. This includes hate crime enhancements. So if you punch/kick/stab/shoot/etc someone for being gay, white, black, Jewish, Muslim etc etc, there's no enhanced sentence. #LosAngeles
