It's much more than golf!
This beautiful green space will provide our unpaid carers with the tranquil environment to relax, and help put some emotional stability back into their lives.
All while their loved ones will be out enjoying golfing activities with us.
Correct. The water table at its lowest point as is will be almost impossible to deal with without huge infrastructure. That infrastructure will destroy the woodland.
This is what happens to the water when you remove vegetation, trees and top soil from a hill, then try and build a site on clay... the clay laden water has nowhere to go except to the lowest point, the ancient woodland and itβs stream. @NEYorksNLincs@alisonclareteal
The traffic on East Park Drive is already the slowest in the town for local commenters. A development here will be overwhelming to the gridlock for the local community. Not to mention the massive impact on the hospital.
@RobCrewsHole@parks_forum@NatFedParks Added to this @BpoolCouncil hopes to remove half of their largest park by allowing development on open green space. Blackpool has fewer trees than any town in England.
@SarahJ_Berry People are active and very interested. Itβs a poor show when they donβt act on the feelings of the local electorate. @BpoolCouncil are whipped so hard little change can take place. Party line is far more important than local will.
This article shows how short-sighted our council is by concreting over the golf course, instead of turning it into a Great Park. London's parks have a gross asset value of more than Β£91bn & these greenspaces are key to attracting employers & employees https://t.co/JbwYxGBtH1

Please help us to stand up for nature in Maidenhead by coming to our demo at 6pm at the Town Hall Tues 8 Feb asking our councillors to reject the environmentally damaging borough local plan @ChrisGPackham@WoodlandTrust https://t.co/lMbjB3Ejkd
