🇹🇼🇨🇳 Taiwan hit a Chinese fishing boat with a water cannon after it refused repeated orders to leave restricted waters near Dongsha Island.
Then things took a surprising turn:
• 3 radio warnings were ignored.
• Taiwan’s Coast Guard used water cannon to force the boat to move.
• The vessel then lost power.
• Taiwan confirmed all crew were safe.
• Coast Guard personnel delivered 35 hot meals to the stranded crew.
• The boat was later towed out and handed over to a Chinese support vessel.
Firm enforcement — followed by a helping hand. 🇹🇼

🇨🇵 Emmanuel Macron officially launched the construction of France's new generation aircraft carrier - Porte-avions de nouvelle génération (PA-NG) - on December 21, 2025, marking the project's transition from the planning phase to the implementation stage.
The announcement was made during a visit to Abu Dhabi and authorizes full-scale construction. The new ship will replace the current flagship of the French naval fleet - the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, which is planned to be decommissioned around 2038.
This decision is based on a program initiated by Macron back in December 2020 and reflects France's long-term strategic commitment to maintaining carrier-based air forces.
The PA-NG will be significantly larger than its predecessor.
According to current technical specifications, the aircraft carrier's hull length will be approximately 300–310 meters, the flight deck width about 80 meters, and the displacement 75-77 thousand tons.
For comparison, the Charles de Gaulle's displacement is about 42 thousand tons. The increase in size aims to accommodate a wider and more flexible air wing, increase flight intensity, and provide additional resources for the integration of future systems.

Still can’t sleep, no matter how hard I tried.
So me and Atis are watching Harry Potter 2.
A little Christmas magic
And a cat nearby
Should cure my illness.
It makes the evening easier.
I just hope the electricity stays
And the night remains calm 🤍
⚡️While #EU is still debating how to use 🇷🇺 #FrozenAssets, #UK is moving ahead: it’s ready to transfer its £8B share directly to Ukraine and is pushing partners to unlock up to £100B in total for 2026–27. That amount could cover about 2/3 of Ukraine’s funding needs in the coming years — for defence or rebuilding, acc. to @thetimes. 🇬🇧 plan still needs final legal steps and coordination with the EU, Canada and others, so it may take a few months. #MakeRussiaPay #RussianAggression
