I hate when people tell me "there's always someone out there who has it worse," how does that help me? Because someone else have a bigger problem does that make my own problem go away?
Don't discredit my feelings or whatever I'm going through please.
calling yourself ugly, broke, being self-deprecating, talking down on yourself when comparing yourself to another woman, or saying you don’t deserve a man for whatever reason, never do that nonsense.
let go. you will be okay. you’ve known for some time now, but anxiety, worry, and fear of loss keep you. and as long as those things keep you, the good which looks for you must weave through dense forestry to find you. let go and move forward. clear your path and allow ease.
daily affirmations:
- i do not need a sweet treat every single day
- i will survive without making a $10-15 purchase today
- i am not chopped and my friends love me even if i am
- i will be very normal today and i will not feel like every social interaction is a test
Mind you, the “white people activities” in question (hiking, canoeing, yoga, campfires, swimming, etc.) are indigenous/human activities that capitalism and colonialism have stolen from you and told you belonged to white people….. AND you should be doing them every day………
Weight loss advice is based on studies conducted on men and applied to women.
When female hormones enter the picture, science suddenly finds it ‘too complicated’ and ‘too expensive’ so they study men, apply the results to women, and pretend it’s universal truth.
As a result, the recommendations women receive are often based on male physiology and when they don’t work, the blame is placed on women.
Not the research. Not the bias. Women.
Science has historically neglected female bodies. This isn’t controversial, nor is it a theory. It’s how medical research has operated for decades. The research is deemed ‘done’ because it’s been ‘done’ on men.
The studies are male. The standard is male. The failure is assigned to women.
my mom was telling me today that there's no disappointment when you accept things or people for what they are. but you don’t always have to cut people off when they don’t meet your expectations sometimes you just have to adjust the relationship + accept their capacity.
