Minister @HonByamukama says Government has allocated Shs326 billion out of the estimated annual requirement of Shs807 billion to take care of the maintenance of paved and unpaved roads on the current National Road Asset, which is estimated at approximately Shs26.9 trillion.

The maintenance funds shall be used to undertake
●Routine maintenance of both paved and unpaved roads
●Periodic maintenance of aging paved roads
●Bridge maintenance
●Emergency interventions following floods, landslides and other natural disasters; and
●Drainage improvement and road asset preservation measures
