Reading through the lawsuit, this allegedly went on until nearly 6 am, and there is no reported intervention despite multiple fraternity members allegedly knowing she was upstairs.

No one helped her. No one saw her as a human being worthy of empathy.

A 20-year-old Cornell student says she went to the Chi Phi fraternity house in October 2024, was pressured into taking what she was told was ketamine, and was then sexually assaulted by seven fraternity members over several hours.

And this may be the most horrifying detail:

According to her lawsuit, at about 1:42 a.m. one of the men allegedly posted “free pussy” upstairs in a Snapchat group called “Chi Phi Actives” — a group chat for members of the fraternity.

Other men allegedly came into the room afterward while she tried to cover her naked body with the bedsheets.

She later reported what happened to Cornell police.

Cornell conducted an internal investigation involving at least 12 hearings.

The result?

According to her attorney, only TWO of the seven accused men were expelled.

Others reportedly received lesser sanctions including suspensions, educational workshops — and essays.

Yes. Essays.

The lawsuit says accused students were even permitted to submit essays in an effort to reduce their disciplinary punishment.

No one was criminally charged. Prosecutors say they did not believe they had sufficient evidence to bring charges.

Cornell’s Chi Phi chapter remains barred from campus, although Cornell has not said its national charter was permanently revoked.

And the young woman?

She left Cornell.

So according to this lawsuit, a woman says she was drugged and sexually assaulted for hours while someone advertised “free pussy upstairs” to a fraternity Snapchat group — and five of the seven men she accused apparently avoided expulsion.

If Cornell’s disciplinary response happened as her attorney describes it, the university has some extraordinary explaining to do.
