@dandakich@ryanmearsindy Indy has turned into a complete dump and it’s sad to say the least. We had a massive car event there the other night (overnight) and security guarding the cars wouldn’t stay because they didn’t feel safe as there were numerous kids running around with guns etc. It’s pathetic.

@KoryRWood@SueFinkam This is a great step forward. I was taken back my Prosecutor Mears’ simple statement the other day. He said his job is to find justice. Sure, one piece but the other huge piece is to work toward polices and to find real solutions to prevent future crimes.
If I told you that one man since 2020 has faced over 30 criminal cases in Indiana, including most being felony charges in Marion County for theft, resisting law enforcement, drug offenses, residential entry, auto theft, and criminal trespass, would you expect him to be in jail?
Me too.
Recently, he allegedly committed a violent crime against Carmel residents, injured a victim and terrorized a family.
Unacceptable.
Let me ask what many residents are likely thinking: How does this happen?!
Carmel and other donut county residents pay the price when repeat offenders in Marion County cycle through the system without accountability. Our residents deserve to be safe. And police officers, who repeatedly do their jobs and put themselves in harm’s way, deserve a system that works alongside them.
We’ve invested in more personnel, technology and partnerships to keep Carmel safe. Enough is enough. This cannot be our new normal. It’s time Marion County does their part and holds criminals accountable.

Friends, prayer doesn't magically protect us from suffering. At its core, prayer is raising the mind and heart to God, which is absolutely appropriate in times of deep pain.

Why is it important for police unions to endorse candidates?
They are endorsing public safety candidates…those that stand with police and not against police.
