It is a fictional event based on real-world mythology and location, which, by the way, is important for immersion. No accurate diction, no accurate outfits, no accurate casting, among other things. Zero immersion from what I've seen so far, and don't even get me started on the costume design—ridiculous. Seems like it's one of Nolan's worst.
