@ZaltzCricket I think I heard that only the great Shane Warne has a lower test bowling average in England than Woakes (for over 100 wickets taken). If that’s true, it shows how valuable he has been over the years.

@WisdenCricket I’d leave Moeen at Number 3. England need to play a spinner and really nothing to lose by playing him there. If he fails then Root comes out almost as a 3. If he succeeds that is a bonus. Playing Moeen at 3 and allowing Brook to stay at 5 ultimately won the match yesterday.
