@TheAlexSylvian Saw him do a Q&A for this one and I think he sees a lot of similarity between comedy and the kind of improv he does with the John Wick team when figuring out the action scenes.
@R3DDV5 Writing "But in recent years, she's found the opposite problem with her clients: unrealistic pessisism." and then following it up with a very long list of incredibly reasonable concerns is a pretty good bit
@Debaser000@alicealeph0 Yeah that era definitely ended around 2016, well before fentanyl really became a problem. There was a specific point in time where Ramshackle broke up/Pat retired, Erik Petersen died, PIX/Ghost Mice's downfall, etc all happened at once. That scene was not sustainable.
@kindabradatthis@TheGuardianMew The AI features are only being removed because consumer AI is not profitable and they are all focusing on enterprise AI, not because Phil was fighting for it and Asha is against it. She came from the AI division and if it becomes profitable to integrate it with gaming she will
@mertcentury Outside of Sweet Jane and Here Comes the Sun that album sucks, the tracks from VU/Another View would have been made for a legendary fourth album but they had to shelve it and come up with that trash instead
@Saren_217@BleachedRaptor2 You mean the people using an army they happened to stumble upon paid for in a mysterious way by a dead guy with unknown funds at the exact same time a war is on the verge of breaking out against an enemy with a large easily replaceable army are idiots? Why would you think that?
@jtimsuggs Would do anything to get George Lucas to take one look at me and give me my true name, just 100% firing from the hip, right off the top of the dome, legally binding
@SlyPSmythe@schenn4jvr@KafkaDatura Yes, every single adult I knew who liked Star Wars vocally talked about how much they hated Jar Jar at every opportunity. Which I didn't really get as a child because I didn't really like Jar Jar but not anywhere near the level of the adults who unanimously hated him passionately
@domesticmothman Rewatched it recently and I've always loved the noir thing Obi-Wan has going. Also on rewatch it's so funny how every time Anakin says something insane it cuts to everyone in the room looking super uncomfortable. I've actually started to defend his acting, he sells that character
@Elvish_Harper@Lozzymandias Tolkien never determined the true nature of the orcs though, there are numerous letters from later in his life where he wrestled with the idea and never came to a conclusion. He seemed to be leaning towards them being redeemable and having a society and even families though
@alfredjviii Hard agree, people always say Han is ruthless but this is literally the only time we actually see him doing something ruthless. More in his character to effortlessly dodge the shot, he's much more of a comedic character than a dark one
@soonrightaway No one ever brings it up,it's the best part. They decided to maybe do it in southern Europe and he's immediately like "right, then we can just load the Arabs up on a boat and bring them there". It's not even about the location, the man has a vision of Arabs watching the Beatles
@DinkDaBird The fact that they're doing a fucking apology tweet itself is part of the brain rot, just put the fucking phone down, stop participating in some insane made up bureaucracy, you are not a politician
@famoushorse Really love that their argument is basically "Just because bricks can technically be paperweights does not mean that if we turn your hardware into a paperweight that it has been turned into a brick"
