No. I never said "illegal things are fine as long as there's a reason", but legality and morality are separate questions.
Getting pretty tired of people putting words in my mouth and spreading misinformation, so here's the gist from somebody who actually studied videogame law.
Emulation and modding aren't inherently illegal in Japan. This Tekken 6 project isn't even emulation. It recompiles the Xbox 360 version to run on PC, and doesn't distribute the game itself. You supply your own ISO.
Owning the disc matters too. Dumping a disc you bought is not the same as downloading a pirated copy. So no, playing Tekken 6 with rollback ISN'T automatically piracy.
That doesn't mean every setup is legal, since bypassing copy protection or recompiling copyrighted code can still raise legal issues in Japan. Stop treating emulation, modding and piracy as if they're the same thing though. They're not.
And frankly, even where piracy is involved, I don't think playing a game that's nearly 20 years old with no official rollback rerelease is some terrible moral failing. You're free to disagree, but legality and morality aren't the same thing.

@Blaze07291@newjabes_ If you believe that profits will come from an old ass game that the company refuses to update or upgrade then I have a Ocean in the Sahara desert to sell you.
@wisanyanya You fell down multiple times as a baby learning how to crawl. Get over yourself. Everything in this world takes failure to become decent. Embrace it.
