"Bitcoin isn't backed by anything."
Let me stop you right there.
Bitcoin is backed by energy. Real energy. Kilowatts. Heat. Physics.
The kind of backing you can't print, fake, or vote into existence at an emergency Fed meeting.
Every block mined is a thermodynamic proof of work. Not a promise. Not a policy. Proof.
The issuance schedule has never been amended by a committee. Not once. Not ever. Because there is no committee.
There's just math. Cold, indifferent, and immune to political theater.
The network is secured by more raw computing power than anything humanity has ever built. Hundreds of exahashes per second standing guard. Every single day.
Now let's talk about what is backed by nothing.
The dollar.
It's is backed by confidence. Specifically, confidence in the institution that printed $6 trillion in two years while telling you 3% inflation was healthy and you should be grateful for the soft landing.
In the same people who can't pass an audit.
Who fund wars with a credit card.
Who promise solvency while sitting on $39 trillion in debt and accelerating.
"Backed by nothing" isn't an attack on Bitcoin.
It's a confession about the dollar.
Follow if you're serious about building wealth they can't print away.
I honestly have to respect how this coffee guy does not care what people think about him.
I couldn’t imagine getting absolutely ROASTED like that in front of millions of people.
All the body language and emotion was a clear sign he doesn’t understand what he’s talking about.
Yet another reason I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE BULLISH
JUST IN: 🇺🇸 US Admiral Paparo says the United States is running a Bitcoin node.
"We have a node on the Bitcoin network…We're doing a number of operational tests to secure and protect networks using the Bitcoin protocol."
To attack Bitcoin as a new actor for ONE HOUR, you'd need:
4 million mining machines.
$24 billion in hardware.
15 gigawatts of power.
$800K in electricity.
And after that hour, your $24 billion in ASICs would be worthless.
I just can’t believe this financial singularity is unfolding in the open on X, and yet barely anyone is paying attention outside a deranged few.
I used to believe stuff like this happened behind closed doors and I’d never witness it.
@JohnCarreyrou Stylometry is interesting, but not proof. The contemporaneous emails between Satoshi and Adam Back suggest they were distinct individuals. Until someone signs with Satoshi’s keys, every theory is just narrative.
I knew he was looking at writing styles and the Martti Malmi email trove. His inkling at the time, at least the one he shared with me, was that Satoshi's turns of phrase in them and elsewhere suggested that Satoshi was someone that grew up in the Midwest in the United States. I guess he changed his mind.
Considering writing styles are the entire basis for his theory, I would guess that it's because he compared Jack's writing styles in his livejournal (which I had pointed out were not consistent with Jack's professional and forum writings) vs Satoshi's writings.
