A bright spot in our #COVID19 weeks are our walks to @WHSHappenings where @apsvirginia serves free lunch. The best part is Mr. Dan, the librarian, who goes above and beyond to bring joy and kindness to the kids of all ages from the community. He brings so much joy. #APStogether
What’s happening in our country right now is bringing to the foreground all of the ways racism and injustice play out in our lives—even, maybe especially, in public, outside spaces. Proud to be part of #TeamRTC, and our commitment to be better and do more to dismantle racism.
This week, a blatant display of racism occurred on the Capital Crescent Trail in our backyard. This is another stark reminder of the necessary work to create inclusive outdoor spaces. Elevating these stories on our national platform is just one step we can take.
Tonight the President of the United States used the American military to shoot peaceful protestors with rubber bullets & tear gas them.
For a photo op.
This is a horrifying use of presidential power against our own citizens, & has no place anywhere, let alone in America. Vote.

Congress is beginning its work on the next major transportation bill, which will guide transportation spending for years to come.
This is why @railstotrails is calling on Congress to make wise investments in trails, 👟🚲 in the next transportation bill. #TrailsTransform
THIS! This is why our investment in trails and bike/ped infrastructure is so important. The benefits to our quality of life, our mobility and our bottom line are incomparble. https://t.co/eLVsQLIlQ2
“It’s not just about being multimodal, it’s also about being intermodal–being able to walk to transit, bus to bike, etc. You need to build a transportation system that works together to provide access to jobs, schools, and other places you need to go.” - Jim Kolb, @Summit_Strat
Looking forward to #teamRTC talks at #NRPAConference today—sharing our enthusiasm for trails and connectivity as drivers for social equity, economic development, health and wellness, quality of life and more! #trailnation#trailstransformUS
Before we dive in, let's set the stage with a basic fact: Transportation is the largest source of U.S. carbon emissions mostly due to driving. Switching to electric vehicles won't be enough to decarbonize the transportation system. We need to go #BeyondEVs https://t.co/D9oGAnpDUm
