On July 20, The Sameer Project held a mobile Medical Day for chronic diseases in the Palestine Roundabout Camps, near Rimal, treating 52 patients who need consistent care, medication and follow-up attention, in the camps in this area.

One woman arrived with dangerously high blood pressure at 160/110 mmHg. Our medical team evaluated her, began treatment and will continue monitoring her closely.

This is exactly why our chronic disease campaign exists. We bring care directly into displacement camps so conditions like hypertension, diabetes and other chronic illnesses can be treated before they deteriorate into emergencies which would place even more pressure on Gaza’s already overwhelmed hospitals, creating unnecessary expenses for families, causing irreversible complications, or costing someone their life.

Preventative care is lifesaving care. And for patients who cannot afford medication or regularly reach a clinic, consistent follow-up can make all the difference.
