we wanted to update you on an issue affecting card payments.
our card partner Unlimit is currently experiencing a disruption, which means some card payments may fail.
your funds remain safe, and bank transfers as well as wallet deposits and withdrawals are not affected.
we’re monitoring the situation and will keep you updated.
all other app features are working normally and unaffected.
thank you for your patience!
we sold our company for $1 billion dollars and here is how we did it
1) find PMF - this is the most important
2) Listen to your users - feedback is the strongest form of improvement
3) wake up from the dream I was having
4) realise we haven't sold
5) remember I have to work again today
6) cry
our founding team is ex @Revolut
& revolut is a great product.
but there’s a lesson about money control worth understanding before you decide where you keep your money…
high street banks & neobanks such as revolut can:
>restrict your account & freeze funds
>block transfers
>have control over YOUR funds
these checks can have legitimate reasons. this isn’t about speaking bad on revolut, it’s about you understanding how it works.
having money in an account isn’t the same as having control over it.
with a self-custodial account, such as @BleapApp and others, you hold the keys at all times meaning you control your assets, without relying on a provider to hold them for you.
that comes with responsibility, of course, but it changes everything
just ask yourself:
do you control your money, or do you control an account that gives you access to it?
serious question
why would you work hard, 40+ hours per week, JUST to earn money, to then give that money to an institution to control & restrict you from using it when they choose and/or have issues
why?
We are currently experiencing a service disruption affecting multiple services. We can confirm that all our customers’ money and data are safe. We’ve been working to fix the issue since it was identified this morning and apologise to anyone affected and for any inconvenience caused.
