Sources for each, and the 30 cards with unresolved reports right now, in the reply.
@Nikitont@AgoraCards Quick heuristic from your own numbers: if a tier costs $199/year, you need roughly $10K/year of spend at +2% just to break even. Anything past that is profit.
@kyc_rip Freezes work because USDT is a centralized token: Tether can blacklist any address at the contract level, and TRON validators honor it. USDT on a chain is still an IOU to one issuer.
@Octop3s The one real fix on the horizon is reusable KYC and ZK identity: prove you are over 18 and not sanctioned without handing over the passport itself.
@WuBlockchain Makes sense: Visa has been settling USDC over its own network for years, and Fireblocks adds the custody layer so banks can plug in without building key management themselves.
@CoinDesk@Visa@Mastercard@crediblefin Most of that $35T is exchange flows and bot rebalancing, the same dollars counted every hop. Card networks count a purchase once, so the comparison flatters stablecoins a bit.
@BitgetWalletPK Nice thing about this use case is the ad platforms just see a normal Visa, so approvals go through like any other card. The crypto side never touches the merchant.
@Paymentscan@RedotPay Fits the pattern: exchanges started delisting USDT-Tron this year under MiCA pressure, and Ethereum plus USDC is the pair regulators like. Card programs just follow.
@strato_money@RedotPay@ether_fi@KASTxyz@Plasma Plenty. Plasma One went into global rollout in January, KAST moved all rewards to USD stablecoin cashback, and RedotPay added agentic payments via Tempo. The winners look the same because they shipped quietly.
