@ClayTravis “Comedians shouldn't get canceled for real time jokes either. Even bad ones. Even inaccurate ones.
Even dumb or ‘offensive’ ones.”

If a woman records her spouse abusing her, she's gathering evidence.
If a man records his spouse abusing him, it's evidence he's the abuser.
Make it make sense.
A chronically violent abuser is exposed on film violently assaulting her partner including throwing three metal chairs at him, one which hit their infant daughter causing “a lump on her head the size of a goose egg” according to police reports…
and the BBC describe it as a “messy break-up”.
We officially live in bizarro world
I’ll say this again & I won’t sugarcoat it. One major cause of domestic violence is a world that constantly bends over backward to protect women.
She can abuse a man for years, disrespect him, push him to the edge & nobody blinks. But the moment he reacts, the script flips & he becomes the villain overnight.
Women know this game. They understand the power of perception. That’s why, even when they’re caught red-handed, the tears come out on command.
Not out of remorse, but as a weapon. And society rushes in to shield her.
This pattern has destroyed men. It has canceled celebrities. It has cost lives.
Now think about it. If he didn’t record it, what would happen? She would lie without hesitation.
She would cry on cue. She would twist the story, shift the goalposts & rewrite the narrative until she becomes the victim.
And the world would believe her. Not because her story is solid, but because she’s a woman.
If this was a guy that beat the shit out of his partner holding a baby you wouldn’t be saying this. It’s insanity how people can’t come to grips with anything that doesn’t fit preconceived stereotypes.
One of the best films in the entire mcu, but it wasn’t a cameo-slop nostalgia bait film so ofc the typical mcu dudebros hated it, but I always understood Zhao’s vision
