@Zealot_of_Zelda I just rewatched it. Yeah its definitely a kids show, but it's so well written. The characters, the world building, everything. Its like making well written shows is a lost technology, when did we just accept that kids deserve slop entertainment?
Attention anyone over the age of 40 who gives a shred of “wisdom” for younger men:
To get you up to speed on why young men aren’t dating, I’ll briefly list 25 problems most young women have that make them undesirable:
-Long term SSRI, SNRI, and benzodiazepine use beginning in the teens
-Dating apps as the default sexual marketplace (hypergamy)
-Five- and six-figure student loan balances
-Multiple tattoos and piercings (many are hidden under clothing)
-Double-digit body counts by the mid-20s
-Daily social media consumption measured in hours rather than minutes
-Fertility delay due to birth control ingestion since mid teens (zero sex drive beyond one night stand, many will be unable to get pregnant)
-Lack of a desire for marriage discussion early on
-Declining interest in or stated desire for multiple children or any children at all
-Zero church attendance or desire to attend
-Career progression prioritized over early household formation
-High rates of diagnosed anxiety, depression, ADHD, and bipolar disorder
-Routine Botox, fillers, and cosmetic procedures before age 25
-Thousands of dollars spent annually on makeup, hair, etc.
-Supporting No-fault divorce and cohabitation as solutions over traditional life
-Limited or absent domestic competence in cooking, cleaning, and household management
-Rising average BMI coinciding with body-positivity messaging (they’re all fat)
-Regular pornography use shaping sexual expectations and responsiveness (yes, Instagram is essentially porn now)
-Persistent targeted propaganda framing traditional gender roles as oppressive
-Higher rates of self harm, eating disorders, and psychiatric hospitalization (see SSRI use)
-Father absence or unstable family background as the statistical norm
-“Therapy speak” and self diagnosis
-Unlimited access to abortion and contraceptives
-Validation of self deprecating behavior through social media influencers
-Supporting gender identity positivity and gay/leftist movements
Zero of these problems existed as they do now when anyone above the age of 40 was in their 20s.
The dating world has changed so radically it’s incomprehensible for anyone above that age to understand what young men (and women) are going through.
It's kinda interesting that men are considered perverts who only care about sex when the entire Malfoid trend is about yearning over a ladylike elegant aristocrat woman loving a man deeply and having a family with him then a bunch of women come in and slut her out in cosplays.
Young men have been deprived of the rite of passage that traditional marriage provided.
You meet a young lady, you're attracted to her, then face the reality that you only get her if you marry her.
And marrying her required a direct conversation with her father - a man who provided for her, guided her, and protected her for decades.
He shakes your hand - testing your grip, looking you in the eye for confidence or weakness.
He asks you about your plans for the future to test your vision, your goals.
He takes you out hunting or works you in the fields to test your physical prowess.
If you pass the tests, the man who has already proven himself walks his daughter down the aisle and hands responsibility for her over to you.
Sounds tough? It's supposed to be.
And when you pass the test, you get his support. He wants you to succeed. His approval should be your encouragement in dark moments. A man older and better than you believes in you and trusts you with his baby girl, one of his most prized things.
My main takeaway, which i hope is shared by others, is that the whole Malfoid movement has instilled a new spark and drive inside of people. To inspire them to improve themselves and to remain hopeful for a brighter future and to not succumb to doomerism. The memes have been fun. The art, literature, and music have been inspiring, and the collective yearning has been one of the most positive impacts a trend has ever had.
The algorithm will inevitably move on and so will the people, but I sincerely hope the overall idea of what the movement meant will stay with people. Malfoid was simply a catalyst for the spark, that many had thought long gone, to reignite. May it serve as your muse in your craft, your motivation for self improvement and your reason to keep on moving forward.
“creampie” is the “demisexual” of sex. a say-nothing word that tries to kink-ify normalcy. I didn’t learn until my mid 20s it’s just a safe-horny way to slut up the radical act of having normal sex through completion. like you’re supposed to.
wow Stacy so you’re a “demisexual” (wants emotional bond before intimacy = normal) who enjoys “creampies” (he orgasms during the act, as God inteded). that’s so quirky and neurodivergent of you.
are you also an “empath” (I have feelings), an “ambivert” (I like people, sometimes), who’s “sapiosexual” (prefer he’s not an idiot) with a “breeding kink” (most profoundly normal thing a woman can have)?
the redditor class is so painfully unerotic they hide behind pseudo-kink to mask their horrifyingly unsexy ways.
