China's August refined copper output is forecast to fall again, with producers surveyed by Antaike expected to make about 1.05 million tonnes, down 2.83% year-over-year. July output also declined.
The reason is feedstock. Imported concentrate treatment charges have been negative for 19 straight months, hitting a record low of about minus US$175.7/t in early August. Smelter bottlenecks are now translating into refined-metal tightness. That reinforces the demand-side price floor for copper. For a copper-gold explorer like NRED, the Wilmac project in BC's Quesnel belt, roughly 10 km from Copper Mountain, sits in a jurisdiction where new supply is a strategic goal. Concentrate constraints put a premium on developing new sources of copper
I’M WATCHING THESE 5 FOR A POSSIBLE SECOND LEG
$SCCO Price: ~$187 | Copper momentum remains in focus
$NRED Performance: +1,100%+ over 1Y | Huge previous run and major pullback
$PLTR Setup: Watching whether buyers can regain control
$ETN PT: $500+ | Power infrastructure remains a major theme
$AMD Catalyst: AI accelerator demand
I don’t need to catch the exact bottom. I’d rather see a higher low form, resistance get reclaimed and volume begin expanding. That setup gives me a much cleaner risk level than trying to guess where the selloff ends.
THIS IS WHY I LIKE EXPLORATION STOCKS BEFORE THE DRILL
NRED’s Wilmac package covers roughly 16,078 hectares / ~39,700 acres. On that ground, the company has now mapped 23 potassium anomalies and 18 structural corridors, on top of the existing ~42-ha chargeability target. That doesn’t mean 41 discoveries — drilling still has to prove the geology. But it does mean NRED has more potential areas to systematically rank and test. I’m in the position because this is the stage where new technical data can materially change how the market values the story.

Jefferies sees a roughly 442 kt global copper deficit in 2026
Jefferies models 2026 copper demand of 28.184 Mt versus supply of 27.742 Mt, a deficit of about 442 kt that would widen to 782 kt by 2030, with grid demand growing about 5% a year. An independent bank quantifying the structural deficit strengthens the case for new copper exploration. NRED holds the 16,078-hectare Wilmac copper-gold project in BC, about 10 km west of Copper Mountain Mine, with multiple interpreted porphyry targets

The established names can rotate hard. NRED is playing a different game: 16,078 ha, copper to 1.67%, a ~42-ha target, and today the company officially becomes NRED Intelligent Mining Inc. Same ticker, sharper AI + mining identity. I’m watching the drill-stage asymmetry, not chasing yesterday’s move

“I think there was an innovation here — there was a stroke of genius that changed everything, much like movable type or the internal combustion engine. And that innovation was to make everything about race, gender, or some other identity characteristic. That made it extremely easy to bully well-meaning liberals.” (link to article in next tweet)
THE BIG NAMES ARE ALREADY BIG
$NVDA is already an AI giant
$BHP and $RIO are already global mining giants
That’s exactly why I also keep smaller names like NRED on my list
I’m not looking for NRED to become Nvidia
I’m looking at where the company sits in its own cycle: early-stage exploration, copper-gold exposure and future catalysts at Wilmac.
The big names give me quality
The small names give me asymmetry
Big miners are priced on production and cash flow. Juniors are priced on geological progress. That’s why one technical update can matter so much more for a name like $NRED. $TECK #Mining
Wilmac keeps checking boxes for me: copper at surface, deeper porphyry targets and plenty left to test. NRED is still tiny while copper sits near $6.48/lb. Definitely watching.

I am buying the Wilmac attention cycle here. $NRED is up 12.9% on the CSE, copper is near $6.48/lb and the project now has stronger surface grades plus multiple defined targets. #stockmarket
TRUMP JUST TOLD 200+ MINING LEADERS THAT AMERICA SHOULD BECOME A MINERALS SUPERPOWER. $NRED IS DROPPING BETTER COPPER-GOLD TARGETS INTO THE RIGHT POLICY CYCLE.
The administration announced $3B for critical-mineral and battery projects at the State Department roundtable. That included a $1.4B conditional loan for Sila, $400M for Sunrise Energy Metals and $150M for Niron Magnetics, plus $180M aimed at mining education.
Days later, NRED reported Wilmac surface results up to 1.67% copper, nine grabs averaging 0.639% and multiple interpreted porphyry targets roughly 656 to 1.8k feet deep.
Wilmac is in Canada, so it is not a direct recipient of those U.S. programs. The bigger signal is that North American mineral security now has money, policy support and presidential attention. I believe credible copper projects become more strategically valuable in that environment.
Solid point about copper and gold together. Many investors overlook the precious metals angle in exploration plays, but it really broadens the appeal when both macro themes are in play.

🚨 GOLD IS NEAR RECORD HIGHS. PAY ATTENTION.
While everyone debates AI valuations, gold continues attracting capital as investors seek hard assets and safe havens.
$NRED NovaRed isn't just a copper story. The Wilmac project also targets gold mineralization, giving investors exposure to two of the strongest long-term themes: electrification and precious metals.
The best exploration stories often combine multiple macro tailwinds.

US Canada trade headlines may hide a bigger copper story.
Trade and critical-mineral policy are starting to overlap in a way investors should watch.
$NRED’s Wilmac copper-gold project keeps it interesting here. Still early.

NRED has both sides of the metals setup: copper for the structural demand story and gold for the macro/rate story. Wednesday’s CPI could make that combination even more interesting.
