Who is behind @JMafume and crew ? Who is protecting these criminals at Harare City Council? Who is the powerful hand behind the mayor of Harare? Why is he untouchable when it is obvious that Harare City Council is rotting under his leadership? Why is @ZACConline_ playing catch & release when the rot is glaring?
🌐🎯Polished Thieves and Hollow Rhetoric: A Response to Julius Malema’s Revolutionary Posturing
💉🎯By Apostle Joel | SLW Ministries: Sunday 25 May 2025.
Julius Malema, Commander-in-Chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), recently took to X (formerly Twitter) with a familiar battle cry:
> "We are on our way to the beautiful province of Free State, wake up fighters. Good morning, anti-imperialist forces. ✊🏿"
This type of rhetoric has become his signature—a call to arms against "imperialism," capitalism, and historical injustice. But beneath the chants and red regalia lies a harsh and unspoken truth: Africa is tired of polished thieves wrapped in revolutionary slogans. Populism, no matter how loud, cannot substitute for leadership, competence, or nation-building.
1♦️ Rhetoric vs Results: The Revolution That Never Came
For over a decade, the EFF has marketed itself as a radical alternative to the ruling ANC. Yet what tangible economic or structural revolution have they ushered in?
Where are the industrial zones, the tech parks, the startup funds, or the university-led innovation hubs that catalyze change?
What we see instead is a continuous loop of slogans, marches, and media spectacle, devoid of long-term strategy. The 4th Industrial Revolution is passing by, yet leaders who claim to represent the “masses” haven’t moved beyond historical victimhood and state dependency.
2♦️ ANC & EFF: The Mirror Image of Failure
Malema is no outsider. He is a product of the ANC—a party that has been in power for 31 uninterrupted years, presiding over decaying infrastructure, a failing education system, and rampant youth unemployment.
The EFF may wear red berets instead of yellow T-shirts, but the script is the same:
♦️Cronyism disguised as empowerment
♦️Political theater masking administrative incompetence
♦️Empty land rhetoric while agricultural production declines
When pressed for specifics, EFF leaders revert to ideological abstraction, unable to account for the lack of credible economic programs.
3♦️ Tenderpreneurs in Gucci: The Spectacle of Hypocrisy
How do self-proclaimed revolutionaries justify their love for Gucci, expensive whiskey, and imported sports cars?
How is it that the loudest “anti-capitalists” are also the most extravagant consumers of luxury brands—symbols of the very capitalism they condemn?
Instead of producing local value, many become tenderpreneurs—parasitic actors who exploit political connections for personal gain. No factories. No patents. No innovations. Just proximity to state contracts and flashy lifestyles funded by taxpayers.
4♦️ Still Living on Apartheid Infrastructure
Almost every functioning system in South Africa today—electricity grids, rail lines, roads, hospitals—was built before 1994. Three decades later, the political elite have failed to replicate or replace these systems, let alone improve them.
Eskom is crumbling.
PRASA is dysfunctional.
Municipalities are bankrupt.
Instead of building, they manage decline. The “revolution” has become a slow-motion collapse.
5♦️ Puppets of Russia and China: No Original African Model
Malema and his allies often posture as anti-Western pan-Africanists while cheerleading for authoritarian powers like Russia and China. But what exactly do these powers represent for Africa’s youth? Surveillance states? Extractive economics? Corrupt oligarchies?
Why aren’t our leaders building African models of development rooted in our history, talent, and innovation? Why outsource our ideologies and infrastructure to foreign masters under the pretext of fighting other foreign masters?
6♦️ Victimhood Politics: A Convenient Cover for Incompetence
There is a legitimate legacy of historical injustice in South Africa. But victimhood has become a permanent shield for failure.
Every pothole, blackout, and broken school is blamed on the ghost of apartheid, while current leaders do nothing to fix them.
Yet those same leaders are financed, endorsed, and enriched by the very "bourgeoisie" they claim to oppose. Their bank accounts are global, their children attend private schools, and their security is state-funded.
7♦️ Millionaires Without Businesses: A New Breed of Elite
How does a so-called revolutionary become a millionaire without inventing, building, or running anything?
Where are the factories, farms, or fintech companies owned by the EFF leadership?
What value have they added to the real economy?
The uncomfortable truth is this: many of South Africa’s most radical voices are political entrepreneurs, not economic visionaries. They profit off rage, not results.
🔥Conclusion: The Time for Real Leadership Has Come
Africa does not need more ideological salesmen.
It does not need more “fighters” chanting slogans while collecting luxury watches.
It needs builders—of businesses, ideas, infrastructure, and institutions.
The age of hiding behind struggle credentials is over. The fruit of these ideologies is there for all to see—a nation in decay, youth in despair, and dreams deferred.
Until leaders like Malema move beyond blame and toward innovation, investment, and industry, they remain what they are: polished thieves, cloaked in revolutionary poetry, but empty of purpose.

@LynneStactia It begins with the type of people we elect or choose from our political parties to represent us in public office.....opposition must have the highest level of leaders with integrity not this current nonsense
Mr. President did you see these damning reports? African countries lose billions to corruption. We lose more than we get from FDI, AID, remittances. As long as the looting continues we will not get any bullet trains. What’s your take on corruption?
What’s your response?
