This is the current state of the road from Mhondoro, specifically the section between Mubaira and Binda, which I used last week. It is truly disheartening. I remember when I was young, my uncle—the late Governor of Mash West, Cde. Rukarwa—constantly raised the issue of this road. Funds for this road were misused as far back as the 80s

My brother, Minister @MhonaFelix, has assured Parliament that the government will prioritize this road. However, to this day, nothing has been done. I have spoken in Parliament on multiple occasions, and other MPs, including @mutsamu and the local MP, Hon. Chiwanza, have also added their voices. We are now collectively urging the Minister to at least send a grader to make the road usable while we await its full rehabilitation and tarring.

If the Catholic Church elects a Black Pope as their next leader after Pope Francis, I will eat my size 14 shoes for lunch on a live social media feed.

This world is racist in all its facets, global institutions including the church are racist. Forget about a Black or African Pope.

While it is theoretically possible for a Black or African Pope to be elected, in practice, the College of Cardinals is heavily European and very conservative.

The Catholic leadership has remained dominated by Europeans, particularly Italians.
As I said in the morning, even Pope Francis was of Italian descent, his parents were Italian. Let us build our institutions here in Africa and not pray for accommodation and false equality.
