Good evening Colleagues. I trust we are fine.

Through this medium, I would want to reaffirm the commitment of the executive of the HOFN to the obvious welfare of all house officers across our nation.

In line with the revelation we made earlier, payment of June salary has been made within the time window proposed to us. The executive determined to do all within its capacity to ensuring it came as proposed, and we have done just that.

We appreciate the Registrar of MDCN, and the Accountant General of the Federation. We appreciate the NMA President for his support at all times.

Going forward, we will now undertake plans that have been on the counter, for the growth of our forum and for improved welfare of all members.

Keep believing in us, as it keeps getting better by the day.

Nigeria keeps saying it doesn’t have enough doctors.

We have only about 50,000 doctors serving over 200 million people. That's 1 Doctor to over 4,000 patients.

You'd expect every doctor willing to serve to be encouraged.

Instead, one is detained after carrying out a menstrual hygiene outreach in Kaduna State.

Another 238 young doctors who returned home to practise wake up to an unexplained increase in their induction fees from ₦265,000 to over ₦415,000.

We cannot keep discouraging the very people we desperately need.

I respectfully appeal to the @KadunaMOH, @GovKaduna, @WHONigeria, @NGRSenate, @NGRPresident, and @Fmohnigeria to ensure Dr Al-Amin regains his freedom, and to the @MDCNOfficial to review this new fee.
