@OldAbeBurnerAcc@SpeakerVos I did read about the measly $15 million dollars “set aside”… Wisconsin families deserve better, and not just the rich ones sending their kids to private school.
@OldAbeBurnerAcc@SpeakerVos But you can put an additional $280 mil in charter and choice vouchers? Give me a break… much better to give all the lollipops to those lining Vos’ pockets.
@OldAbeBurnerAcc@SpeakerVos You’re telling me it was impossible to keep the funding going? Why even bother to vote on it if it wasn’t a real possibility?
@Tardi_B@MichaelaOkla I think it’s great if that’s what they both want! Removing the taboo around death and dying is important - it happens to each and every one of us!
@EvieSolheim Just because their relationship with death and grieving is different doesn’t make it wrong. I think it looks like quite a healthy, well adjusted, and realistic understanding. The grandmother is choosing a dignified death and that should be her choice.
@docReiner@IsaacRowlett As an alum I really do hope Madison ends up being able to do the right thing in the end, but I do understand why the action hasn’t been more “immediate”.
@docReiner@IsaacRowlett Marquette is a private institution - Madison is a public state university bound by inflexible statues and policies (in a state with a GOP majority legislature btw)
@AJMooreHealth I’m a grant administrator in a central office (pre-award) and I try to give heads of tax implications when I’m aware, but this was one I didn’t realize would happen this way!
@CrabbyMiss@GovEvers You sure are saying a lot of words for not saying anything of substance. Get with the times, Tuesday’s election was a huge win for democrats, and we aren’t stopping there! Byyyyeeee!
@CrabbyMiss@GovEvers You realize District 8 is not the whole state of WI? And that it was a close race? And that by employing fair maps with our new SC it’s going to become even more clear how wrong you are? Buckle up, old lady.
@CrabbyMiss@GovEvers I was born, raised, educated, and currently live in Wisconsin. I’m aware there wasn’t a statewide referendum, but you can see by the other elections results that people vastly support those that fight for reproductive rights. YOU are the backwards one.
